LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Power outages were reported across the Las Vegas valley Saturday as high winds are expected to sweep into the region.

According to the NV Energy website, 27,209 customers were without power at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The outage locations were spread across the valley, with power failures reported in Spring Valley, Summerlin, and Henderson.

No immediate time of restoration was available. A high wind warning started at 7 a.m. on Saturday, set to last through 10 a.m. on Sunday. 8newsnow.com forecasters predict wind gusts could peak at 65 miles per hour or more. A winter storm warning was initiated for mountainous regions at 4 a.m. on Saturday, with four to eight inches of snow possible in those higher elevations.

As of Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m., delays at Harry Reid International were limited to an average of 15 minutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
