LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 14-year-old was hospitalized after they were shot in the back in the central Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.
On Monday around 3 p.m., Metro police responded to a report of gunshots near the intersection of Tara Avenue and Arville Street near Sahara Avenue. When officers arrived they found the teenager with a gunshot wound to their lower back.
The 14-year-old was taken to a local hospital where their injuries were listed as non-life-threatening, police said.
Metro detectives have taken over the investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
