LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — North Las Vegas’ restaurant row is rapidly evolving as new establishments prepare to open soon.
“You shouldn’t have to leave our city for fine dining for a nice place to eat with your family and you don’t have to anymore,” Mayor Pro Tem and Ward 3 Councilman Scott Black said. “You can have pretty much any option for you and your family to eat here.”
Restaurant row, a hotspot for food enthusiasts on Craig Road in North Las Vegas, thrives with a mix of national and regional chains alongside locally owned mom-and-pop eateries.
“We’ve had a scattering of restaurants start out a handful of years ago and then we’ve seen this proliferation of lots of restaurants coming in – many dozen national chains (and) regional chains,” Black said. “We’re excited about the local small business aspect of it (as well), home-grown businesses.”
According to Black, restaurant row’s popularity stems from its diversity and exceptional accessibility, seamlessly linking residents to restaurants both east and west via Interstate 15, as well as north and south through Highway 11. Additionally, the city supports businesses by providing resources through its Small Business Connector Center.
“It’s a one-stop shop resource for people to start a business, grow a small business, focus primarily on minority-owned, women-owned, and Veteran-owned businesses that set up shop here in our city and many of those are restaurants and some of those are on restaurant row,” Black said.
The center supports local businesses in launching and expanding their operations. Currently, 13 new restaurants are in various stages of development along restaurant row. Nearby, Craig Ranch Regional Park is also growing, with construction underway for six multi-use sports fields, creating new opportunities for both residents and business owners in North Las Vegas.
“People can come from anywhere in Southern Nevada and enjoy the fine dining and opportunities to eat and enjoy our park and the amenities on restaurant Row,” Black said.
