The World of Concrete, celebrating its 50th anniversary, was in Las Vegas January 23-25.

There’s something about the World of Concrete show that is forever appealing.** I have attended this event in the past and been astounded by all the big machinery on display in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s front yard.

And this year? I went inside for the basic stuff. I visited several of the booths in the South Hall of the convention center and learned a great deal. Yes, the show is dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries, but this non-professional had a good time attending as well.

I had no idea concrete could be driven across country and not harden, that sunken concrete pavements could be lifted or that concrete could come in thinner segments in construction of multi-floor structures. Yes I had a lot to learn. The folks who attended this show are smarter still, having taken advantage of the many educational offerings associated with the show.

My video is below. Not many folks are as as needy as I was with regard to concrete information, but you may learn something as well.
