Wow, that’s the first thing I thought of as well.
My Vegas List:
- Panzanella
- Spinach Salad in now-gone Min’s Test Kitchen
- Beet salad at Sinatra… particularly older version with mini Arancini.
- Baby Beet salad at Scarpetta
- Chopped Salad at SW
- Salad with Duck at Wing Lei
- Kale Salad at Beauty & Essex
- That I’m including the sashimi salad at Sakana would probably surprise some.
- Won’t say it’s on my list of best salads overall, but the chicken Caesar at Terrace Pointe stands out as best chicken Caesar.
Plenty of good wedge and caesar salads.
I’m sure there are more, non-Vegas…but they mostly precede my interest of taking food pics.
My first Caprese after moving to CA, fresh heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, made me a fan for life. The best were with heirlooms from my garden.
The Frisée salad with poached egg at Left Bank in SF bay.
My family frequented a neighborhood steakhouse at the very north edge of Chicago, and they had a Green Goddess salad I loved – anchovy based dressing.
I have one very fond memory of being in an old-school Chicago restaurant with my parents, and the waiter making Caesar tableside.. the full show, big wooden bowl, etc. I don’t even remember the restaurant.
