LAS VEGAS (KLAS)– A woman was found dead on an east Las Vegas road late Friday night. Now, police are searching for the suspect they said caused her to fall off the hood of an SUV and hit her head, causing her death.
At around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, a woman was found dead on the road in the area of East Yuma Avenue and South Frank Street near south Nellis and east Charleston boulevards, according to police reports.
Through investigation, detectives learned that the woman was in an argument with an unknown person in an SUV while she was on the hood. Police discovered the SUV came to several abrupt stops causing the woman to fall off and hit her head on the roadway.
Medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV drove away from the scene before officers arrived.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death after her next of kin is notified.
