LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A “medical episode” may be the reason a driver lost control and struck several cars at a North Las Vegas intersection Monday night, police said.
The deadly crash was reported shortly before 11 p.m. near the intersection of Losee and Ann roads.
North Las Vegas police said a woman, in her 60s, traveling northbound on Losee, struck several construction barriers and then collided with three vehicles stopped for a red light near Ann.
The driver who was in a Mercedes died at the scene, police said she never applied her brakes, and it’s believed she may have suffered a medical episode before the crash. Another driver suffered minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation. The woman’s identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
