LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Dipping temperatures and gusty winds will blow into southern Nevada Saturday morning and continue throughout the day. Wind advisories are in effect for southern Nevada, southeast California, and the Colorado River Valley.

Anyone planning outdoor activities should be prepared for temperatures in the low 60s and wind gusts up to 55 mph. In addition, there could be hazardous travel conditions on area roadways and rough waves on Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, according to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas.

The wind advisory for the Spring Mountains-Red Rock, Nye County, western Clark County, and Death Valley is in effect from Friday 11 p.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday. For southern Nevada, including Las Vegas, the advisory begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Clark County has issued an air quality dust advisory for Saturday. It advises older adults, children, and people with respiratory conditions to stay indoors as much as possible.
