LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Sweater weather is officially over in Las Vegas. As the weather begins to heat up, even in mid-March, Las Vegas Strip hotels have decided pool season is back! We’ve made a list of when resort pools will be opening.

Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay announced in a post on X that it would be “diving back into pool season” on Monday, March 11. The Mandalay Bay Beach is an 11-acre aquatic playground that includes a wave pool, a lazy river, and more.

Caesars Palace

For Caesars Palace, the pool season began on Friday, March 8. According to Caesars’ website, its seven pools, including the adult-only Venus Pool, are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests at Caesars’ Palace have complimentary access to the pools, but all other guests must make a reservation to enter.

ARIA Las Vegas

Ahead of the game a little, ARIA’s pools opened on Feb. 26. The ARIA features three ellipse-shaped pools and a Pool Bar, which offers beverages and cocktails. Additionally, they offer the LIQUID Pool Lounge, an adult-only hideaway pool.


“We’ll see you back at the pool starting March 8th,” the Luxor Hotel & Casino posted on X Thursday. The pool deck at Luxor is one of the largest in Las Vegas with more than 125,000 square-feet of space, including 19,000 square-feet of pool.

MGM Grand

The MGM Grand Hotel opened its Grand Pool Complex and Dive Bar on Thursday, March 7. “6.5. acres of fun is back,” the resort proudly posted on social media. The hotel’s pool complex includes four pools, three whirlpools, waterfalls, and more.


Wynn Las Vegas announced Friday, March 8 that Encore Beach Club was open for the season. The daylife destination includes a 55,000 square-foot “indoor and outdoor tropical oasis,” that includes three tiered pools and a showcase DJ booth for special guest artists including Marshmello, Diplo, and more.

New York New York

New York New York Vegas posted on its X account on Friday, March 8 telling guest to “grab their besties” because its pool was officially open! According to the resort’s website, the pool is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan’s two pools, The Chelsea and The Boulevard opened in February despite colder temperatures. “Winter won’t stop us from making a splash,” the resort wrote on social media. Later in the pool season, The Boulevard Pool will host “Dive” in movies on Monday evenings.


According to The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower’s website, its Swim & Social Pool, located on the 8th floor of the resort, will open on Friday, March 15. The pool promises weekend DJs, poolside games, and “stunning” views. Non-hotel guests are welcome but must purchase a day pass.

Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood was ready to make a splash early this year, announcing on Feb. 29 that its pool was open for the season. Planet Hollywood’s pool deck includes The Flowrider, allowing guests to try their best at hanging ten.


Paris Las Vegas announced through a social media post its pool opened on Feb. 28. The pool, named Pool à Paris is located right underneath the hotel’s Eiffel Tower replica, for a swim with a view unlike any other.


Newly remodeled, the Rio Las Vegas pool is now open, its website proudly proclaims. The Rio pool is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations for private cabanas or daybeds will be open soon, according to the website.


“Back in the swim of things,” Excalibur Las Vegas proudly posted on March 7. “A paradise fit for royalty,” Excalibur’s pool features 30,000 square-feet of deck space with plenty of seating for its four pools and waterslide.


According to the Harrah’s Las Vegas website, The Pool at Harrah’s will open on Friday, March 15, and will be open to all Caesars Entertainment guests. The location includes an Olympic-sized pool, three pool deck levels, and a summer’s worth of fun.

Pool opening dates for Venetian Las Vegas, Palazzo, Treasure Island Las Vegas, Bellagio Las Vegas, Vdara, Mirage Las Vegas, The LINQ Hotel + Experience, and Circus Circus Las Vegas could not be located. This article will be updated once that information is available.
