LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The first day of school is just days away. Across the valley, families are getting their student’s wardrobes refreshed with what’s trending in apparel and accessories to take their school style to the next level.

According to the Retail Association of Nevada (RAN), it’s projected Nevada families will spend $369.1 million on K-12 students, which is a slight decrease — 0.7% — from last year. While electronics tops the spending list at $130.5 million, it’s followed by clothing and accessories at $106.9 million.

School shopping doesn’t have to break the bank. Fashion Show Las Vegas has a variety of savings and deals including up to 50% off at stores like Macy’s to help style students for less. Some stores also offer student and military discounts.

On a side note, the Fashion show has activated its Back-to-School selfie area which allows students to capture memories throughout the school year. Travel through the decades past as each activation gives you a taste of the times from the 1950s to the future.
