LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — According to court records an arrest warrant was issued for a teacher accused of grabbing a three-year-old child in a viral video.
Parents identified the child seen in the video as Lilly Royal, 3. Royal was a student at DJ’S Christian Preschool/Daycare, located on Arroyo Grande Boulevard between Paseo Verde and Horizon Ridge parkways in Henderson.
Court records show the arrest warrant was issued on July 2 for Heather Heifner, the teacher identified by Royal’s parents as the one seen is the viral video. Heifner faces three charges of felony child abuse or neglect for the April 19 event, according to court documents.
Officials from DJ’S Christian Preschool/Daycare said Heifner’s employment was immediately terminated following the incident.
