LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, paid a visit to Las Vegas on Sunday, making a few stops including a Raiders watch party and a get out the vote rally.
Walz spoke at a Native Americans for Harris-Walz get out the vote rally at the MGM Convention Center where he condemned Former President Donald Trump’s previous comments on Native Americans calling them “racist.”
“And he had a quote, if you remember if some of you have seen this where he testified in front of Congress, ‘They don’t look Indian to me.’ That’s what he said. And he said actually later, he said, ‘I think I got more Indian blood than they do,'” Walz said.
Walz later attended a Raiders game watch party with Congressman Steven Horsford where he encouraged Nevadans to take part in early voting.
Walz’s visit to Las Vegas will be followed by visits from both Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump on Halloween. Harris will be hosting a “When We Vote We Win” with special guest ManĂ¡ and Trump will be speaking at a rally in Henderson on Thursday.
