LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Video footage showed the moment Metro police arrested a man on a Las Vegas freeway after he allegedly choked a woman at a bus stop, according to police.
On May 6, around 10 a.m., Metro police responded to a report of a man choking a woman at a bus stop near Russell Road and Nellis Boulevard, according to LVMPD.
With the help of LVMPD’s AIR2, police located the man and the woman, however, the man took off toward the freeway. Police then found the man hiding near a bridge and he ran again, jumping onto the freeway, according to police.
Officers chased the man and took him into custody with the help of citizens who stopped traffic to help protect those involved, police said.
