I’m not exactly sure what this thread is or will become. I debated for the last week whether to start a new TR. I decided why not. Not certain how much I will update it or how often, but I hope its frequent. I want to add a lot of pics. I was driving the little fanatic home from school one day a couple weeks ago when demanded rock ‘n roll. So I put on The Cure (the little fanatic is a big fan; and that makes him awesome for a five year old lol). If you know The Cure, then you probably know which song got me thinking about photos. And I realized that I don’t have a lot of great vegas pics from this year. I have taken so many through the years, that it is easy on some trips to ignore taking pics. So now I want some new ones and I hope the self-imposed obligation to add a bunch to a TR will keep me focussed on taking some good ones (or at least a lot of them).

Beyond that, I am not sure what to expect. I’ve never been much of a short sentence every ten minutes immediate recap kind of trip reporter. So I might just try and tell most of the story through pics and some updates of anything I find unique or interesting. I will also try to to answer any questions or provide info on current Vegas happenings or intel. So if you have questions, fire away. Here is a quick precap of the plans to give you an idea what you can expect from this report: three weekends (starting today), two resorts, and one slot tournament. Plus more. Here’s how it all came about.

A few months ago, I found out that my sister and her family are going to be in Vegas for mother’s day weekend to see a concert at the Sphere. They wanted some planning help from me. Rather than just advise, I asked my partner if she wanted to add a Vegas weekend to our busy travel agenda, she said yes, and I got my MGM host to set up the whole family in a two bedroom villa at the Mansion! That was exciting enough to look forward to. Then, a couple weeks later, my FB host sent me a list of upcoming casino tournaments they are hosting and invited me to come out for any of them. I really wanted to play in the BJ tournament in mid-May, but we already have plans to be in New Orleans that weekend. The host, though, talked me into coming out Derby weekend for a slot tournament. My partner passed on the trip because going next weekend would mean five weekends in a row of travel and she decided that was a bit too much for her (we have two non-Vegas trips planned in May, lol). Fast forward again I receive a text and email from my FB host about the promo chips FB is giving its players in April. I didn’t want to go on Easter weekend and the last weekend of April (now), we already had plans to visit a resort we really like in North Carolina. Fate, however, steered us back to Vegas. I called that NC resort to set up some spa reservations and found out that their spa was already completely booked the weekend of our trip! So we cancelled that trip and after my partner saw how much FB is going to give me in promo chips, she said let’s do Vegas this weekend instead, lol.

So I went from no Vegas, to a family Mansion visit, a solo slot tourney weekend, and a weekend to play through some promo chips. I’m kind of thankful we don’t have any more Vegas plans until later summer. I might burn out over the next couple weeks, lol. Our other plans over the coming weeks are meal reservations at La Fontaine, Mother Wolf, KYU, Wolfgang Puck, Robuchon, Bardot, and Nobu. We will mix in some arcades, shopping, maybe a visit to the Omega Mart, some pool time, and plenty of blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, and video poker. Our flight today is in a few hours and scheduled on time. So hopefully I am able to keep this report going and will post some more tonight. And if I don’t, thems the breaks
