LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — More than three years after a man was gunned down at a bus stop, three men are in custody and facing murder charges for allegedly plotting the attack.

Ta Jon Walker, 23, Alexander Hinton, 26, and Devante Reynolds, 32, are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Nicolas Thomas was shot in the heart on Nov. 18, 2021, while he waited at a bus stop on the corner of Nellis Boulevard and Boulder Highway, according to court documents.

After initially denying any involvement in the shooting, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said the three men admitted to the crime after viewing surveillance video of the shooting and the suspect vehicle, as well as other evidence gathered by investigators. The report said the footage showed Thomas was shot “without any provocation.”

According to the arrest report, Reynolds revealed to police he was the “getaway” driver, Hinton confessed to providing the handgun used in the shooting, and Walker admitted to doing the shooting.

Walker told police he had an altercation on a bus earlier that evening with Thomas in which Thomas confronted him and pushed him off the bus, the report said.

Shortly after the 2021 shooting, another person was identified as a suspect in the case and was arrested and charged with murder. However, the investigation could not tie him to Thomas’ shooting, and the charges against him were dropped.

All three suspects are in the Clark County Detention Center awaiting a preliminary hearing on March 10.
