Welcome to Chinatown Vegas!
Greetings, friends! Whether you’re a local who knows every nook and cranny of our vibrant district or a visitor just discovering this hidden gem, we’re thrilled to have you with us for another week of news and updates. From tantalizing eats to cultural treasures, Chinatown Vegas is buzzing with energy, and we’re here to keep you in the loop. Let’s dive into what’s happening this week!
Weather: Still Perfect Days Ahead
As we inch closer to spring, the weather in Chinatown Las Vegas continues to delight. For March 9, 2025, expect clear skies and mild temperatures hovering around the mid-60s—perfect for strolling Spring Mountain Road or grabbing a boba tea to sip outdoors. The crisp mornings and warm afternoons are a teaser for the blooming season ahead. So, dust off those sunglasses and enjoy these gorgeous days while they last!
New to the area and wondering, “Where is Chinatown Vegas?” You’re not alone—unlike the towering casinos of the Strip, our slice of paradise flies a bit under the radar. Chinatown Vegas stretches over 3+ miles along and around Spring Mountain Road, just west of the Las Vegas Strip, from Las Vegas Boulevard to Rainbow Boulevard. It’s a sprawling hub of Asian culture, food, and community, unlike any traditional Chinatown you might imagine. Curious for more? Check out our detailed guide here to get the full scoop on how to find us and why we’re worth the visit.
One of the defining features of Chinatown Vegas is its incredible collection of over 25 strip malls, each packed with unique flavors and experiences. From the iconic Chinatown Plaza—where it all began back in 1995 with its Tang Dynasty-inspired architecture—to newer additions like Golden Spring Plaza, these malls are the heartbeat of our district. You’ll find everything from steaming bowls of pho at Viet Noodle Bar to fresh pastries at Paris Baguette, plus countless shops, spas, and supermarkets like 99 Ranch Market. With more than 150 restaurants and dozens of businesses spread across these plazas, there’s always something new to explore. It’s a suburban-style wonderland that keeps growing, so grab a friend and make a day of it!
Spring Mountain Road Woes: A Call for Action
Now, let’s talk about something we can’t ignore: the state of Spring Mountain Road, especially west of Decatur around Lindell and Dunville. Frankly, it’s a mess. Potholes, cracks, and uneven patches have turned parts of this stretch into a nightmare for drivers and pedestrians alike—almost unnavigable. It’s a jarring contrast to the beauty and bustle of our malls and eateries. We’re calling on the those in power to issue an emergency work order to patch up these trouble spots ASAP. A temporary patch job would go a long way until a permanent solution can be planned. Our community deserves safe, smooth roads to match its vibrant spirit—let’s make it happen, please.
Now lets explore what’s new around our ‘hood

Update on Double Zero Pie: Bigger Ovens, New Desserts
Double Zero Pie, a Chinatown favorite we’ve raved about time and again, is stepping up its game! They’ve expanded their oven capabilities, meaning they can now serve more hungry diners without sacrificing that top-notch quality we all love. But the real treat? A new dessert’s hit the menu: an insanely dense and delicious brownie topped with vanilla gelato and a sprinkle of sesame and black seeds. We tried it, and trust us—it’s incredible, a perfect balance of rich, fudgy goodness and cool, creamy bliss with a nutty twist. This restaurant incorporates many Japanese influences, while remaining true to its Neapolitan roots. Next time you’re at Double Zer0 (00) Pie & Pub (4488 Spring Mountain Rd), save room for this one—you won’t regret it!
Coming Up: Boba and Badges
Mark your calendars for a tasty community event! Join the Spring Valley Area Command Officers for Boba and Badges on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bambu Desserts and Drinks (4069 Spring Mountain Rd). This special meet-and-greet features the SMART Team of Metro—the officers dedicated to keeping Chinatown safe. Sip on some boba, ask questions, and connect with the team working hard to support our community. Add it to your calendar and come build those neighborhood ties—we’ll see you there!

Pho Beyond, Now Open
Pho Beyond Now Open in Chinatown Decatur Plaza
Big news for pho fans! We’ve been teasing this one for a while, and it’s finally official: Pho Beyond is NOW OPEN in the Chinatown Decatur Plaza! We first broke the news about their upcoming arrival last year and followed up with a sneak peek of the renovations earlier this winter. Now, this westside favorite has officially brought its signature Vietnamese flair to our district, taking over the former Green Dispensary space just south of Spring Mountain Road. The fully renovated spot boasts a fresh, inviting vibe with bamboo accents and plenty of room to enjoy their legendary pho—think brisket, rare steak, or oxtail, plus other authentic dishes with a modern twist. After months of anticipation, Pho Beyond’s doors are swinging wide, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the Chinatown family.
Swing by at 3650 S. Decatur Blvd, Unit 06-07, and slurp up some goodness—trust us, your taste buds will thank you!
Master Sushi and Oyster to Replace Former Pho Spot in Golden Dragon Park
Change is afoot at the Golden Dragon Park on Spring Mountain Road, as the former location of Pho Gia Lynh is set to become the new home of Master Sushi and Oyster. This transition signals an evolution in the culinary offerings of this bustling hub.
The recently renovated and repainted Golden Dragon Park continues to solidify its reputation as a diverse dining destination. While the departure of Pho Gia Lynh marks the end of their era, the arrival of Master Sushi and Oyster promises to introduce a fresh and exciting culinary experience.
Golden Dragon Park‘s transformation is a testament to the dynamic nature of Chinatown’s food scene. Since the arrival of Hobak in 2016, the strip mall has attracted a variety of popular eateries, including Ramen Hashi, Gabi and Chanko. Now, Master Sushi and Oyster is poised to join their ranks, potentially bringing a new wave of sushi and oyster lovers to the area.
While specific menu details are still forthcoming, the name “Master Sushi and Oyster“ suggests a focus on fresh seafood, which could add a unique element to the mall’s existing culinary lineup.
We will continue to monitor the progress of Master Sushi and Oyster and provide updates on its grand opening.
