Since MrsP was tired from the flight, I snuck down to the Panda Magic. I had $300+ on me, and just to be entertained, I forced myself to not blow the whole FP stack on piddly $2.50 spins. To be honest, I decided it was better to save some for classic keno quarters or multicard lunch runs.

I began whanging bonuses right off the start. I felt like the machine welcomed me. Not gonna even insert how many bonuses I cleared. There are actually two pages.

So I activated my freeplay, with $1.30 left in the machine. I reckoned, heck, try to hit a .25c bet of $12.50 for $1.25 in freeplay. I figured $50 FP would be well-invested if I just got $20 back. 80 quarters is a nice video poker starter, right?

For those who are unaware, the Dragon Links have the “last chance lower-than-the-bet amount” spin opportunity. It *clunks* and you have to risk the last pennies to maybe get a spin. I would say 9 of 10 times on average, nothing comes back.

(Interesting thing, the Choose Dragon bonus ate the one odd nickel I had left and paid back only $1.25 back. It seems to eat the remainders of pennies but tells the freeplay count to only give increments of 25c.)

I played 19 spins at $1.25, with only one respin (nothing came out), and the 20th spin fwooshed and spun one last time.

I cannot believe or understand what happened, but it happened. It was a gambling dream in real life, and to top it off, I wasn’t done yet.

I hit a series of random wins that pushed that $1k up to $1500, then as the sun was shining and I stayed up all night, I decided to get MrsP her Bellagio Patisserie Cream Cheese Danish, and finish my Robertos.
