Las Vegas has always been synonymous with spectacle. New Year’s Eve Las Vegas” is one of the most Googled terms, beating searches for things to do and events in places like London, Tokyo, Paris, and more. Last year, 3.4 million people visited Las Vegas in December, with over 400,000 celebrating NYE in the city.

This year, on December 31, 2025, we expect even more revellers in Sin City.

There really is no better time to experience Las Vegas and the city’s larger-than-life personality than New Year’s Eve. On NYE, the entire 4-mile Las Vegas Strip is turned into a giant outdoor party. Drinks are flowing, dice are rolling, and the city is full of stars and good vibes, so as December 31, 2025, approaches, Vegas promises a night of unforgettable events.

To help you plan your night, we’ve created a list of some of the hottest events and things you can do to ring in 2026.

A TL;DR version of events is as follows:

  • Watch fireworks on the strip (or in a helicopter)
  • Visit a Nightclub with Celebrity DJs and Artists
  • Attend a rooftop party
  • Go off Strip to Fremont Street
  • Enjoy a Show

Where To Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2025/ 2026 in Las Vegas

Fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip is world-famous for its New Year’s Eve fireworks display. December 31, 2025 will be no different. At midnight, the sky above the Strip lights up as fireworks are launched from the rooftops of several iconic casinos. Fireworks are scheduled to be launched from eight hotels (Aria, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, The Venetian, and Resorts World).

To get the best views, you have a few options:

  • stand among the revelers on the strip itself (free but packed)
  • book a room with a view of the fireworks (book early for the best rate)
  • or secure a reservation at one of the city’s top rooftop bars for a more intimate experience.

Hotels also offer specific viewing parties for fireworks (and we’ll get to some of these spots later in the article).

But.. if you want a truly unique experience, have you considered a Helicopter tour? You can get an unforgettable view of all the action with a nighttime helicopter tour.

Nightclub & Casino Events With Celebrity DJs and Artists

It’s normal to want to party before the fireworks start.

Las Vegas nightclubs are known for going all out, and New Year’s Eve is no exception. Expect celebrity DJs and special guests to lead the celebrations. Over the years, Vegas venues have hosted major acts such as Calvin Harris, Tiësto, J Cole, Drake, and this year promises more of the same.

So far here’s a lineup of some of the events you can attend:

Of course, as more headliners are announced, we will update this list.

Rooftop Parties

We briefly mentioned a rooftop party earlier, but NYE rooftop parties deserve their own section.

Whether you want to see the sky light up with fireworks or party with your friends, a rooftop party is another place to be, and for many, worth the fee.

Here’s a line-up of events that will be updated as more venues provide details:

Cosmopolitan NYE Fireworks Viewing Party

  • Tickets start at $200, and you can experience the Vegas NYE fireworks watching celebration at the Ice Rink at Cosmopolitan.
  • You’ll get aerial views of the Strip, an open bar, live DJ, and champagne toast at midnight.

Fireworks Viewing at the Pool at the Plaza

  • This is available for all hotel guests (and here’s a link to secure your room).
  • The Plaza transforms their roof into a prime location for Plaza’s fireworks.

Beer Park

  • Beer Park will be ringing in 2026 with panoramic views of the Strip and fireworks, a midnight champagne toast, live DJ, and all-inclusive food and drinks.
  • For this event, tickets start at $250 per person.

High Roller

  • This is ot a rooftop bar, instead the High Roller is an unforgettable experience high up in the air.
  • For $500, you can book a prime midnight fireworks viewing spot. As well as priority boarding to the High Roller, you’ll have access to a VIP NYE party that starts at 10 PM with a premium open bar, catering, live music, and entertainment.

Time of Your Life Festival at Fremont Street Experience

The Time of Your Life Festival is a staple of Las Vegas’ New Year’s Eve, and expect it to return for 2026. It’s the most iconic New Year’s Eve event in the city. If you want to be away from the strip, then Fremont Street is the place to be.

Taking over downtown’s Fremont Street, it features multiple stages with live performances across genres like rock, country, and electronic music. You’ll find up to 40 bands, including tribute acts and well-known performers.

Last year the festival also included a Silent Disco, where attendees danced to music through wireless headphones. The event typically offers an all-inclusive package, covering unlimited drinks at participating bars.

As midnight approaches, the massive Viva Vision canopy leads the countdown with a digital display, followed by a fireworks show. While the Strip may have the largest fireworks display, Fremont Street offers its own pyrotechnic spectacle, giving you the perfect backdrop to ring in the new year.

Keep in mind, this is a 21+ event. Tickets usually range between $55 to $130 per person.

We’ll update you with the details as soon as we have them for this year.

Enjoy a Show

Before you head to a countdown party, there are tons of other things you can do. One of them is to enjoy a show, and there are so many shows to choose from.

There are comedy acts such as Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Cirque Du Soleil Acts such as O and KA, shows such as Absinthe, and Burlesque acts such as X Burlesque.

The best part is that, unlike some of the events above, prices for shows on NYE generally remain the same as usual.

You can find discounted tickets on our dedicated shows page.

Things You Should Know Before You Start Your NYE Party

Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is unlike anywhere else, but there are a few key things you need to know – this will help you have a better time in Vegas.

1. Book Early

Vegas fills up quickly for New Year’s Eve. Whether it’s hotel rooms, tickets for events, or dinner reservations, you’ll want to secure your spot as early as possible.

Prices go up the closer it gets to December 31, and many popular events sell out months in advance.

Use our hotel deals to get a room for a great price.

2. Transportation

The Strip is closed to vehicles starting around 6 PM, and fully closed by 8 PM.

Getting around can be tricky. If you’re staying on or near the strip, walking is your best option. If you’re staying further out, plan ahead by booking a ride service or limo early.

Public transportation, including buses, will have extended hours, but expect crowds.

3. Dress for the Weather

Las Vegas in December can get surprisingly cold. Temperatures often dip into the low 40s (around 4°C) at night, so be sure to bring warm clothes if you’ll be outside, especially if you’re attending outdoor events like rooftop parties or the Fremont Street Festival.

4. Hydration and Food

With the combination of alcohol and non-stop celebrations, it’s easy to forget to hydrate and eat properly. Drink plenty of water throughout the night, and make time for meals to keep your energy up. Many venues offer all-inclusive drink packages, so take advantage of the food options that are often part of the deal.

5. Security and Safety

Expect increased security measures at all major events and venues. There will be checkpoints at places like Fremont Street and rooftop parties, so leave plenty of time to get through. Bags may be searched, and some areas have restrictions on the size of bags or backpacks you can bring.

6. Backup Plans

Las Vegas can get extremely crowded on New Year’s Eve. Sometimes plans fall through or an event reaches capacity. It’s always a good idea to have a backup option for both your venue and how you’ll get there. Be flexible and patient, as long wait times and crowded streets are the norm.

7. Stay Safe

The most important point of them all – stay safe.

With so many people in town, it’s important to keep your group together and stay aware of your surroundings. Make sure your phone is fully charged and have a plan for where to meet up if you get separated.
