LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An 18-year-old man faces charges after another teenager was run down by a vehicle in Bullhead City, Arizona, according to police on Friday.

Abraham Salazar Espinoza Jr. was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an injury accident. He is accused of hitting a teen who had been involved in a fight with his brother, according to information released by the Bullhead City Police Department.

Police were called to Rotary Park on Thursday at about 1 p.m., where a 15-year-old boy was struck in the pickleball area parking lot.

Investigators learned that Salazar Espinoza confronted the teen “regarding a previous fight the victim had with Salazar Espinoza’s younger brother,” according to police.

When Salazar Espinoza found him in the parking lot, he accelerated toward the victim and struck him with his vehicle, police said.

The victim, who was still on the ground when Salazar Espinoza left the park, was treated at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for several non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Salazar Espinoza was arrested at a family residence in Bullhead City at about 5 p.m. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
