LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A suspect who was arrested in Utah for the ambush robbery and killing of a Las Vegas 16-year-old is now at the Clark County Detention Center facing murder and robbery charges.
DeAjai DeVon Guaydacan, 18, was booked into the detention center on Saturday, May 18 after being arrested in Utah on April 23. Lennix Dockery, 18, was arrested in Idaho on April 27 and another suspect, Jordan Da’Sharp Brown, 17, was arrested in Las Vegas following the deadly shooting of Ah’Shioni Henderson on April 9 at an apartment complex located off Buffalo Drive near Lake Mead Boulevard.
According to the arrest report, Brown, who was friends with the victim, conspired with Dockery and Guaydacan to steal a gun from Henderson. Brown posted a photo on his Instagram account of Henderson with a “Glock-style handgun” for sale. The report said, that on the evening of the shooting, a witness told police they were at a gathering in an apartment — in the complex where the shooting occurred — and witnessed Brown put a gun he was carrying into Henderson’s pants pocket.
As Brown and Henderson left the apartment, Guaydacan and Dockery, hid outside of the apartment under some stairs and ambushed Henderson as he left the apartment. Guaydacan shot Henderson two times from behind and all three suspects fled the shooting scene in the same vehicle, police documents stated.
The report said apartment surveillance video and video found on Brown’s cellphone revealed the pre-planning of the robbery and shooting that left Henderson dead.
Guaydacan is scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning.
