What’s ironic about it is that Super Bowl tickets are probably more expensive than F1 tickets, on average, but people aren’t in town just to go to the game. They’re here for the festivities, the watch parties, the events.
One of the things I remember most about F1 was how dead it was on Thursday and Friday. And the justification for that was always, “Well, people are just coming in for the race and then leaving.” Definitely not the case with this weekend. People would be here even if the game itself was somewhere else, as is the case every other year.
