LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Walking tours at historic Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley will be available beginning Dec. 7, National Park Service officials announced on Thursday.
Visitors will learn about Death Valley Scotty and get updates on continuing flood recovery efforts. Scotty’s Castle Road connecting to U.S. 95 in Nevada remains closed since a 2015 flood that devasted the area.
Participants will only be allowed to enter closed areas with a ranger present.
Walking tours are scheduled for select Saturdays and Sundays starting Dec. 7 through March 23, 2025. Tickets are $35 per person, plus a processing fee. Space is limited to 20 participants per tour and may be purchased up to 48 hours in advance. Proceeds from ticket sales go toward conservation work at Scotty’s Castle.
The tour meeting site is at Grapevine Ranger Station.
