Las Vegas resident Rick Harrison of “Pawn Stars” fame offered a glowing endorsement of President Donald Trump at a White House event today, calling him potentially the greatest president in American history — though critics and economic data present a more complicated picture.
Harrison attended the Small Business Summit, where he praised Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, specifically a provision allowing 100% bonus depreciation on equipment purchased after Jan. 19, 2025. Standing alongside Trump, Harrison said the administration had done “so much for all of us.”
“I just want to say he’s amazing,” Harrison told reporters after the event.
Harrison also took aim at former President Joe Biden, saying small-business owners felt like they “were the evil people; we were the bad people” under his administration. He offered no specifics to support the claim.
The remarks came as Trump’s economic agenda faces scrutiny from multiple directions.
Small-business confidence has been volatile in recent months, with the National Federation of Independent Business reporting uncertainty tied to tariff policy as a significant concern for owners — a direct consequence of Trump administration trade decisions.
Some economists warn that the bonus depreciation provision, while a short-term boon for equipment-heavy businesses like Harrison’s, adds to long-term federal deficit pressures.
Harrison, who owns Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in downtown Las Vegas and has been a vocal Trump supporter since the 2016 campaign, is among several celebrities the administration has featured at public events to promote its legislative agenda.
