LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Hiking in the desert can be unpredictable, not just for us but for our four-legged companions as well. To help pet owners stay prepared, Red Rock Canyon is hosting a workshop focused on essential first-aid skills for handling pet emergencies.

The Bureau of Land Management is hosting the B.A.R.K. Ranger Desert First Aid course, a hands-on training event designed to equip individuals with essential skills for handling pet emergencies while hiking in the Mojave Desert.

In collaboration with Friends of Red Rock Canyon and Evolution Dog Training, this course offers practical, real-world guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of pets on the trail. As a special bonus, participating pets will receive an official B.A.R.K. Ranger certificate for Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Date: Saturday, April 26
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
