LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Friday night marked one of the last opportunities to see a planetary alignment, known as a planetary parade. Seven planets lined up in the night sky.
At the College of Southern Nevada’s Planetarium, spectators had the opportunity to utilize the school’s telescopes and observation area to view the alignment.
“We’ve had four or five planets in the sky several times since 2016,” Andrew Kerr, CSN’s Planetarium manager said. “Seven is a little bit different. We won’t see that again until 2040.”
Telescope observation is free, starting after the planetarium’s 8:00 pm shows.
