UPDATE: NV Energy restored power to all buildings on the UNLV main campus as of 10:40 p.m. Friday. University Police Services will maintain an increased presence on the main campus throughout the night.
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A power outage affected a large area of the UNLV campus on Friday.
According to the university, NV Energy crews were working to resolve the issue as of 7:51 p.m.
NV Energy’s outage site estimated that just under 300 people were without power near the campus.

University Police Services also increased its presence on the main campus as the outage continued Friday night.
