Visitors to last week’s Licensing Expo were given copies of License Global, the official publication of Licensing Expo. And inside….for those of us not in the licensing business, lots of news. For example:

“Kraft-Heinz’s legendary Kool-Aid brand has announced a wave of new licensing partnerships that blend bold flavor with playful nostalgia. From lip balms to frozen delights to fizzy refreshments, Kool-Aid is expanding its footprint in innovative ways that speaks to fans of all ages.”

Kool-Aid? Who knew!

Or how about visiting Beanstalk.com and have access to brands like Febreze, Vicks, Braun, Craftsman, U.S.Army, Cheez-it, Tide, Frosted Flakes, Eggo, HotPockets and many more!

This character is offered by NECA, a leading creator, marketer, and global distributor of licensed consumer products based on some of the world’s most recognizable movies, video games, comic books, and pop culture.

“And as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) wraps up its 40th anniversary and Avatar: The Last Airbender celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, Paramount continues to invest in these properties to engage fans in dynamic ways.”

**So reads a press release seen at the show.

Names and images obviously can be very valuable and at Licensing Expo lots of meetings are held and lots of images are displayed to make the “deals” like those of Kool-Aid and TMNT. I was surprised at how many of the attendees stopped to have pictures taken with the live versions of their favorite brands.

I attended the show last Thursday and found that most of the images on display were new to me or at least out of my experience, yet the show is celebrating 40 years. I have attached my video below.
