LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — PirateFestLV, a pirate and fantasy-themed Renaissance festival, will take place Saturday and Sunday at Craig Ranch Regional Park in Las Vegas. The event features a variety of activities, performances, and attractions for attendees of all ages.
Brad Bledsoe and Kellan Baker are performers at the festival. They demonstrated “The Captain’s Challenge,” a sword-fighting performance between rival pirate captains, and the “cannonball toss.” Those family-friendly activities are two of many, including the Treasure Map Adventure, where children complete pirate-themed tasks such as walking the plank, tying knots, and hoisting sails to earn rewards. Other attractions include Gladius the Show, a performance featuring Clydesdale horses, gladiators, and stunts.
PirateFestLV, billed as the largest pirate and fantasy Renaissance festival in the western U.S., includes live entertainment, games, whiskey and rum tastings, a pub crawl, and a VIP experience. A portion of the proceeds will support the Paradise Ranch Foundation, a southern Nevada organization that provides equine-assisted therapy programs.
The event runs this weekend at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Tickets and additional details are available at PirateFestLV.com.
