LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Thousands of young soccer players from around the world are heading to Las Vegas for the 17th annual Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Showcase.

This year’s tournament will feature 1,019 teams, including 694 boys’ teams and 325 girls’ teams. One hundred international teams are expected to compete against teams from 29 U.S. states.

“This popular event has been split over two weekends to accommodate all the local, national, and international youth teams that want to compete in Las Vegas,” Mayor Shelley Berkley said.

The showcase will take place on Feb. 15 to 17 and Feb. 21 to 23. Roger Tabor, president of the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, estimates the event will bring over $40 million into the local economy.

The platinum-ranked tournament will be based at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex and will take place at the following fields:

  • Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex, 7353 Eugene Avenue (tournament headquarters)
  • All-American Park, 1551 S. Buffalo Drive
  • Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, 7901 W. Washington Avenue
  • Ed Fountain Park, 1400 N. Decatur Boulevard
  • Teton Trails Park, 7850 N. Bradley Road (at Grand Teton Drive)
  • Thunderbird Family Sports Complex, 6105 N. Durango Drive
  • Centennial Hills Park, 7101 N. Buffalo Road
  • James Regional Soccer Complex, 8400 W. Robindale Road
  • Harry Reid Marketplace Park, 5800 Surrey Street
  • Heritage Soccer Park, 350 Racetrack Road in Henderson
  • Capriola Park, 2155 Via Firenze in Henderson
  • Aventura Park, 2525 Via Firenze in Henderson

There are multiple divisions per age group for all skill levels.

Admission to the games is free and with thousands expected to attend and participate, spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating. For more information, including schedules, maps, teams, and rules, click here
