The Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board is launching a public database of nearly 50,000 cannabis products sold at licensed dispensaries and consumption lounges across the state, the board said this morning in a news release.
The Metrc Item Catalog, a digital repository built on Nevada’s seed-to-sale tracking system, provides product-specific certified lab analyses, ingredients, allergens, potency information and real-time product hold status, the board said.
The database is intended to serve the public, consumers, medical patients, licensees, researchers and law enforcement agencies, the CCB said.
“This is a milestone for both the CCB and the State’s licensed cannabis establishments,” Michael Miles, acting executive director, said in a statement. “Alongside Metrc, CCB staff and industry partners have collaborated to make this information publicly available. It is a victory for all to share this important data.”
Data in the catalog reflect what is currently in Metrc at the time of a search and will vary over time, the board noted.
Additionally, the board is debuting billboards across the state today warning against impaired driving. The signage was created in partnership with Zero Fatalities for display on the cannabis holiday of 4/20 — that’s today.
The CCB’s ‘buy legal’ campaign will run statewide through June.
