LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nearly 30,000 people participated in the first day of early voting in Clark County, a 6 percent increase when compared to 2020, according to County officials.
Clark County officials said 29,943 people voted in person Saturday on the kick-off of early, in-person voting in the area. The number did not include mail-in ballots dropped off at vote centers.
For context, in 2020 there were 28,234 voters who participated in the first day of early voting.
Officials said 67,288 mail ballots had been received by the U.S. Postal Service so far, with tabulation of mail ballots set to start on Monday.
“Results are not released until all polls are closed on Election Night,” officials said.
Early voting runs through November 1. A list of polling places can be found on the Clark County website.
