LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man is in serious condition after crashing his motorcycle into another vehicle after failing to stop for a stop sign, police said.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials, the collision occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Sepulveda and Foothill boulevards in Spring Valley.

Investigators say the motorcycle failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, striking the driver’s side of a compact vehicle. The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man from Las Vegas, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle driver passed “Standardized Field Sobriety Tests,” police said.

The crash remains under investigation by law enforcement officials.
