LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a sedan on Saturday in west Las Vegas, police said.

The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. on West Lake Mead Boulevard, west of Del Webb Boulevard, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials.

Police said the unidentified motorcyclist was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and collided with a sedan making a left turn. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle. The rider was taken to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The two individuals in the sedan had minor injuries and were treated. The driver of the sedan did not show signs of impairment, according to police. 

This crash remains under investigation by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section. This fatal crash brings the total number of traffic-related fatalities in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for the 2025 year to 38.
