LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A motorcyclist has died and two others were injured following a crash in the northwest Las Vegas valley.
It happened on Wednesday shortly before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Sterling Springs near Cheyenne Avenue.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the rider and the passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital and had minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and had minor injuries, according to police.
A third vehicle was also involved due to motorcycle debris hitting the undercarriage. The driver also remained on the scene, police added.
“All it takes is slowing down, and paying attention whether you are driving a vehicle or riding a motorcycle, walking,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Cody Fulwiler said.
The scene of the crash remained under investigation as of Wednesday night.
