MGM Grand is shaking up its restaurant offerings, closing a midday breakfast and lunch spot this fall to make way for a new dining option. The Las Vegas Strip casino announced today that Avenue Café would close permanently on Sunday, November 17.

The cafe has a slightly retro vibe with colorful patterned carpet, high-backed booths, and funky pendant lighting. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., breakfast has made-to-order three-egg omelets, steak and eggs, and buttermilk pancakes. Lunch options include a laughably tall club sandwich, build-your-own burgers, and starters like chicken wings and quesadillas. For visitors who want to go hard in the early afternoon, 51-ounce fishbowls come loaded with bloody Marys and sweet blends of rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice, and triple sec.

After closing this November, the Avenue Café space will be remodeled for a new restaurant that is anticipated to open this February. MGM Grand is expected to reveal details for the planned restaurant in the coming weeks.
