LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Heavy metal legends Metallica and rock icons Linkin Park are slated to headline the third Sick New World Festival coming to Las Vegas in April 2025.
While we already knew Metallica would be headlining the festival after the band announced it in September as part of an extension of the band’s M72 tour, the rest of the bands on the lineup were announced Tuesday.
The Las Vegas festival will kick of Metallica’s third year of the No Repeat Weekend tour.
Linkin Park, the other headlining band, was recently in the news when it announced its return seven years after the death of former frontman Chester Bennington. The band’s announcement came with the introduction of the band’s new lead singer, Emily Armstrong, who was previously a part of the band Dead Sara.
The festival will be held at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 12, 2025. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, Oct. 18.
The lineup include “over 50 of hard rock, goth and alternative’s biggest artists,” including Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Gojira, AFI, and more, plus a reunion of Acid Bath, who will be performing for the first time in nearly three decades.
