Mary J. Blige, the “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul,” will bring her life story and a catalog that helped redefine R&B to the Las Vegas Strip this spring with her first residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

The show, titled Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story The Las Vegas Residency, is scheduled for 10 performances May 1-9 and July 10-18 at the 5,200-seat venue inside Park MGM, resort officials announced today. All shows are set for 8 p.m. Blige has described the production as a theatrical journey through her life and music, with actors onstage helping to frame her songs as narrative scenes.

“I’ve been so excited to announce this Vegas residency,” Blige said in a statement, calling the show “a chance to get my fans together from all over – different cities, states and countries – to experience something together.” She promised “My Life, My Story will be just that – with some surprises for my fans that have been there through it all.”

Blige, who celebrated her 55th birthday Sunday, enters her Strip run after a stretch that includes a 2024 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing a career that spans more than three decades and nine Grammy Awards.

Her 2022 album “Good Morning Gorgeous” earned six Grammy nominations, and she released her 15th studio album, “Gratitude,” on Nov. 15, 2024.

She also earned an Emmy for her performance in the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show and two Oscar nominations for the 2017 film “Mudbound,” where she became the first person nominated for acting and songwriting for the same movie.
