LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was fatally shot and found lying in the street following an argument with a woman in northeast Las Vegas valley, according to police.

Around 8:30 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire in the 2600 block of North Hollywood Boulevard near Owens Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unidentified man in his 50s lying in the middle of the street with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel arrived but pronounced him dead at the scene, LVMPD officials said.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the man had been arguing with an unidentified woman outside of his vehicle when a gun was pulled, leading to the fatal shooting.

The woman left before police arrived at the scene, police said.
