LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was shot and killed in the central Las Vegas valley Wednesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m., Metro police responded to several reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Dumont Boulevard and Maryland Parkway near Desert Inn Road.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police detained a person of interest and there were no outstanding suspects as of Wednesday night.
Dumont Boulevard was closed in both directions from Maryland Parkway to Cambridge Street, police said.
