LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Henderson, according to police.

It happened on Friday at about 8:45 p.m. near Green Valley Parkway and West Horizon Ridge Parkway. Officers were called to that area after multiple gunshots were reported.

When officers arrived they found a man with injuries requiring medical attention. The man was then taken to a nearby hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

The public is asked to avoid the area.
