LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a car that crashed into a building near Nellis Airforce Base, Las Vegas police said.

On Saturday around 12:41 a.m., Metro police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a building in the 4400 block of East Lone Mountain Road near East Craig Road.

Medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

When officers arrived they discovered that the victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.

Police said that the victim was followed by an unknown vehicle prior to the shooting.
