LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man is dead after a crash in the north Las Vegas valley.
According to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol officials, the crash happened near Interstate 15 and mile marker 54 near Speedway Boulevard just before 1:15 a.m. on Sunday. There, a semi-truck struck a man traveling on foot. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
There were no further details on the crash, and traffic was closed down on northbound Interstate 15 during the incident.
Commuters were asked to avoid the area. Law enforcement officials said more information would be provided on the crash after the preliminary investigation.
