LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police arrested a man accused of shooting two people, killing one, during an argument inside a Las Vegas convenience store.
On Sunday just before 3 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at a convenience store in the 3700 block of Paradise Road near Twain Avenue. When officers arrived they found a man and a woman inside the store suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
Police said the victims were driving eastbound on Sands Avenue when a vehicle hit their car. The victims then drove to a nearby convenience store and went inside. Shortly after, the driver the the other vehicle drove up to the same store and confronted the victims, according to police.
An argument ensued and the suspect shot the victims multiple times, police said.
The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Eric Morales, left the scene but was later arrested on several felony charges including voluntary manslaughter.
