UPDATE: As of 7:15 a.m., all southbound lanes have reopened. Only one northbound lane is currently open.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada State Police are investigating a crash that has left one person dead Tuesday morning, according to Trooper Shawn Haggstrom.

The crash was reported around 5:40 a.m. and involved a car and a pedestrian. It occurred in the northbound lanes of I-15 near the Sahara Avenue exit, Haggstrom said.

Lanes on the southbound and northbound sides of the freeway are closed to traffic near Spring Mountain Road, causing major delays. Motorists should find alternate routes until the lanes reopen.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
