LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It’s snow season and Lee Canyon opened Friday morning to begin its daily winter operations by welcoming skiers and snowboarders who want to hit the slopes.
This is the earliest opening in more than a decade for the resort due to expanded snowmaking and colder temperatures. The base Friday morning measured 16 inches. Rabbit Peak, Rabbit Return, and the Limber Pine Lane trails are open as well as three of the five lifts.
Lee Canyon ended last year’s season with record amounts of snow allowing the resort to continue operating until the end of April 2024. The resort is in its second under the new ownership of Mountain Capital Partners (MCP) which owns resorts in multiple states.
