LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas valley youth are learning what it takes to be a Desert Dog from the team members. Camp 99 is a unique summer camp experience combining lacrosse and hockey training for two weeks of fun and fitness.
“The great thing about this camp is it’s a chance to do multiple sports,” said Nate Ewell, vice president of communications for the Vegas Golden Knights. “They’ll be doing stick handling, skating on the ice, shooting, passing, ground balls, so lots to learn.”
Each four-day camp will feature six hours of ice time at America First Center in Henderson and six hours of turf time at Lee’s Family Forum giving them a chance to score goals both on the ice and on the turf.
Camp 99 takes place July 22 – 25 for kids 8 and under and July 29 – Aug. 1 for 12 and under and 14 and under age groups.
Las Vegas Desert Dogs and the Foley Entertainment Group partnered for this one-of-a-kind sports experience to keep children healthy and active during summer break.
