LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas volunteer group gave haircuts to homeless veterans Saturday morning.
The event, “Haircuts for the Homeless” which started in 2019, took place at U.S. Vets Las Vegas, a housing and assistance facility for veterans across the valley. The group’s founder, Ron Bondoc, is a former homeless veteran who lived at U.S. Vets and says he wants to give back to the community.
“You could see the difference in their demeanor. They feel like they’re important when they get a haircut and somebody cares about them. So even a simple haircut, gives them a smile,” Bondoc said.
Over 50 veterans received haircuts on Saturday.
