LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that left a woman dead Sunday.
The collision occurred Sunday evening just before 7 p.m. near north Eastern Avenue and east Owens Avenue. There, an unidentified woman was crossing Eastern Avenue in a crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle that did not yield the right of way. The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The vehicle’s driver did not stop and fled the collision scene, police said. Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
The vehicle was possibly a Nissan Maxima in a blue metallic color, police said. Law enforcement officials noted that the vehicle would have damage to the right front headlight assembly area, hood, and windshield.
