LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A Las Vegas Metro police officer was not injured after he was hit in the leg during a traffic stop in the east valley, according to police.

The traffic stop took place on Thursday shortly after 4 p.m. along Boulder Highway near Twain Avenue. According to police, during the traffic stop the driver became “uncooperative” when officers were speaking to him while he was in the vehicle. The driver then drove away from the officers and struck one of the officers in the leg, police stated.

No other information was released by police.
