LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Metropolitan police identified the officer who was involved in a deadly shooting following a barricade at the South Point.
According to police, Officer Zachary Adam, 45, shot an armed suspect on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the South Point Hotel and Casino on Las Vegas Boulevard. Police said the suspect charged at officers with a gun and ignored commands to drop the weapon.
Adam is currently assigned to the Tactical Operations Division, Special Operations Bureau with Metro and has been employed with the department since 2006.
He is currently on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of the shooting.
